Aquatic Centre features

The Arena Aquatic Centre is a heated indoor centre, with the following features:

• 25 metre 7-lane swimming pool
• Free form wave and leisure pool
• Toddlers pool
• Spa pools
• Sauna and Steam Rooms
• Hydro slide and Lazy River

The Arena Aquatic Centre caters for a wide variety of users including:

• Competitive
• Recreational and fitness swimmers
• Aquarobics and Aqua jogging
• Kayakers
• Free divers (Official World Record held in our lane Pool)

So bring the whole family along and experience our hydro slide, lazy river or splash around and sit under the numerous water jets and play in the waves.

The lane pool is heated to 27 degrees, the wave pool is heated to 30 degrees, and the spas and toddlers pools are heated to 35 degrees.

Our Dash Swim School has classes ranging from learn to swim for babies through to teenagers and adults.  The school also runs school holiday programmes.

There is a cafe within the facility where you can order a light snack or sit down and enjoy lunch, there is also indoor/outdoor seating and observation areas.

We have family and communal changing rooms, with hot showers and toilet facilities.

All our staff are first-aid trained.

Maintenance Closure

Between 29 July and 17 August, the Arena Aquatic Centre will closed for regular maintenance.  We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this will cause!

Lane Pool Booking

The entire lane pool is booked on 31st May 2013, 9.30am - 1pm for Tawa College school sports.

Opening Hours

The Arena Aquatic Centre is open 7 days a week including all public holidays, except Christmas Day. 

Please note on Thursdays the Spas and Toddler Pool will close at 8.00pm for cleaning.
